Thermostatic Mixer Valves (TMV) mix hot and cold water to create a temperature-controlled flow of water through to a shower, bath or basin. So, you never have to worry about an ice cold or scalding hot shower which is ideal for high risk health care environments.
TMV3, is an independent scheme that’s specifically designed for use in buildings such as hospitals, schools and nursing homes as the valves are tested to the highest standard as they must be able to maintain a stable temperature even with different water pressures and temperatures. The accredited scheme is graded by the independent group The Public Health and Safety Organisation NSF (formally BuildCert). As the specialists in accessibility washrooms and Doc M products, NYMAS use TMV3 as standard in all Doc M packs which means that our products are reliable and suitable for installation in healthcare buildings.
Not only does using a TMV3 prevent many scalding accidents from happening each year, correct installation of these water systems can also help prevent the bacteriaLegionella from contaminating and spreading through the water supply. At NYMAS we are on hand to help installers get this right with free advice and support for all our products.
So, next time you see the TMV3 logo on our NYMAS products you can be certain that the product has been tested thoroughly to ensure the safety of the users!
