Understanding what makes a shower seat Doc M compliant enables you to provide maximum comfort and reassurance that anyone using that shower seat will be safe. To make a shower seat Doc M compliant the height of the top of the seat must be 480mm from the floor. The projection of the seat must also be 650mm.
These specific measurements ensure that the shower seat is positioned in the most accessible position for its users. The projection also enables wheelchair users to transition to and from the shower seat with ease.
All of NYMAS’ shower seat frames are constructed from a non-corrosive aluminium or non-corrosive stainless steel. On the padded shower seat options the pad made from closed cell polyurethane, this provides maximum comfort and hygiene as the closed cell structure blocks all dirt and water from damaging the pad.
